Difference between 3512/12"HD3

This isn't a "which will get louder question", I want to know the difference between the two. This will be in my single cab truck in a ported box at about 2 cubic ft running off 2.5k watts. I know the HD3 doesnt have the cooling which I was told will be a problem since I have that much power going to it. So what difference will I hear between the two? I'm leaning toward the DD because of the cooling so I was also wondering is it worth the extra money to get the 9512?

2000 and under 35,2000 of more Hd3,and the whole cooling thing u could double ur power and the sub would only get louder. I believe the 3500 is a lil more on the sq side.A good Sql driver,Look into the 9100s too,they look too cool man.

so are you saying I shouldnt run 2.5k to the 35? And isnt the 9100 the step below the 35? And what difference will I tell between the 35 and 95?

Both are sql subs.If u have a ton over power get the 95,if u have decent power get the 35.The 3500 has amazing low bass,the 9100 is just as striaght up sq sub.

O yea just buy a hd3 and call it a day,none will let u down,but the 3500 peak at 2000watts on music.

worried about the cooling option on the HD3 and since I live in texas I think it would be best to get the DD. But do you think I could run the 35 at 2.5k daily or should I turn my gains down a little bit? And what the price on a new 3510?

2000 max on music pretty much.Coolin is no concern,I live in louisiana,and have play my hd3 15 4000-4400rms on music!U well not see a difference in between the aq and dd unless u planon building extreme class car.

I can get a new 3512 for around 350 shipped. How much could I get an HD3 12 for brnad new?

hmmm...well this is a hard descision then. I love DD subs and they're going to be the same price...but you say to go with aq. have you heard both?

Well yeah,If u feel fine just running 2000wrms grab the 3500,if u want to use all of ur power,which I doubt will be a noticable difference get the HD3.I would peronally get the HD3 of the 2.But I myself have been having thoughts and ideas of gettin the Audioque sd2.5.

dude if you'd do your research, its been talked about a billion times, its not that the HD3 doesn't have any cooling, it DOES, it just has something DIFFERENT!, not DD's technology but it doesn't mean it DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING...people have given it 2500 all day and it seems to work fine, DJ said only one or two has ever gone back and it was the amps fault, and for the customer service, its definitely on my list of subs that i may purchased next year...

True each were on 2 Ma 4000s,but they were "Having proplems with the amps".And yes they do have excellent customer service.

Ok well after reading the website could i put the 12 in a 2 cubic foot box. It seems the AQ's don't do too well in small boxes which is important bc I cant go much more than 2 cubic feet in a single cab f150.
