Diff. b/w 2 and 4 volt preouts

Is there much of a noticeable difference in sound quality between 2v and 4v preouts? Im looking at these two alpine HUs:

and

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=300&i=500CDA9885&tp=5684

I actually like the less expensive 9884 better lookswise, and the red will fit nicely with my red interior lights. Problem is that it has the 2v preouts whereas the 9885 has 4v. Im gonna be running the PG RSD 6.5s (ampd, 150wRMS to each speaker) in the front and two subs in the back.

Does the voltage really even matter, or will I be screwing myself if I go with the 2v

edit: Im also looking at the JVC KD-HDR1: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=300&i=257KDHDR1&tp=5684&avf=N which has 2.5v preouts

the difference between 2v and 4v preouts could amount to a 6db difference in your noise floor.... but there are other factors....

4v should be considered better, but it also may not make any difference at all.....

Your amp choice will make a much bigger difference than the difference in preout voltage between those specific decks.
Was thinking about going with this one http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4869. I saw a post somewhere in your PG rsd 6.5 review that had a link to a store that was selling that same amp for 85.99 or something like that. Anybody know anything about Profile...This is my first go round with car audio so that amp could be complete crap for all i know

looking at this one also: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=59

And here's one thats a little out of my budget, but prolly doable: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3953. If this kicker is far and away better than those other two, then I could spring the extra bucks for it.

That profile is a very decent amp from what i hear. What you might want to look at to save money is 4 channel amps. If you bridge one to your rsd's you can usually end up with more power for less money. For instance using the profile line you chose here you save a few bucks. And you can get that amp on ebay for under 100 bucks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Would 180wRms per side be too much for the PGs, or would the just eat it up and love it?

The high volt pre-outs will only make a difference if you have noise, such as alternator wine. Do you have noise? If you don't have a noise problem, high volt preouts will do nothing for you. Additionally, I think it's better to fix the cause of noise problems rather than put band-aids on it.

Thanks for the input. Not sure if I have noise...this is gonna be my first system. hopefully I dont have any noise though!
