dif between re mx and xxx?

the mx has a 4" flatwound coil where the xxx i think has a 3 " coil. the mx has a neo magnet where the xxx has very large ferrite magnet. the mx will take alot more than what rated at. we had an explorer that had a ab400.1 running on 1 mx 15. it handled it pretty well.

how much rms was coming outta that amp?

there is no difference. same woofer, same specs. thats why they look the same.

the xxx can only handle 200 kilograms of power and the mx can handle 210 gigograms of power. so decide for yourself.

sorry gorge but i dont think thats right...

the xxx uses a split coil design (and its a 3" coil, which has 2000 watts thermal power handling) a ferrite mag, and 54mm of one way xmax to name a few

the Mx on the other hand has a 4" traditional coil that has 1500 watts thermal power handling, a neo mag, and 22mm of one way xmax...

they look the same but i belive they are very different subs

i cant tell if you're serious...but I was kidding...

come on, i used the term "gigograms"

The XXX, uses a bigger neo mag, and will take 3.5-4kw daily, and the MX needs at the least 2kw, and they like around 2.5-2.7kw daily, and the MX is around 60-70lbs and the XXX is around 100lbs!!! Seen both in person, compared both side by side, both hit hard, and hammer lows, and sound great, they dont meter very well, but ungodly loud to the ears!!

never had any experience with the si mags. i have heard that they are very nice subs. i have had experience with mx, xxx,mt, sx, sr, re series. all will do more than rated rms power. all outstanding subs.

the part about not metering well. they do ok on meter but, if you want to go on the meter look at the mt. it will meter just about as good as any other sub out there.(unless compared to the dd 99z.)

dont care for numbers as i will not be competing (might do a few just to play around) but strictly a slapping daily driver. also you guys think 1 mx 12 could take an saz-3000d including its underrated watts ie: 4krms++? also would an si mag be able to handle this much wattage?
