didnt know where to post.. twang sound?

Ok here's what I'm running before I ask my question.

Kenwood kdcx895

JL W3v2-2 (two 2ohm svc subs wired up to 4ohms)

JL slash 500/1 amp

Now everything is wired up right.. and i do have power to the all and both subs beat... but the thing is.. when I turn my volume up.. when they hit hard, they sort of get a twang sound? I really don't know how to describe it. They just don't keep at the right low beat... tomorrow when its not 10 dagrees out ill list what the all settings on the amp are set at. Untill then.. any thoughts? Or have you heard anything like this?

There's no way this 500/1 watt amp is over pushing my subs.. there both 500 rms...

Hey thanks for the quick reply. Now I gotta think of a way to test out your theory.

Here are the amp settings: lemme know what you think I should adjust them to.

Pre amp output:

output mode -full range

Filter slope- 24dB

Filter mode- LP

Filter freq-80

Infrasonic filter

mode - on

inrasonicfilter freq-40

Q-1.6

bass eq- on

Center freq-40

Boost-8

Amp LP filter

Mose/slope - 24db
