did you vote?

no way i was serious. If you think that its obvious you want the terrorist to kill American babies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I always hate it when voting time comes around. Why?
1. Constant bombardment of automated phone calls trying to promote some lying, two-faced, white bastard that you know nothing about. (Nothing against white people, but let’s face it, a majority of political candidates are white.)

2. An endless sea of propaganda on television networks of candidates shitting on each other to gain popularity. It's just childish.

3. Arrogant people that look down on you for YOUR OWN DECISION not to vote.

4. People who think their vote will make a difference in this country. Can you really believe your vote counts after President Bush's infamous recall election? Hanging chads? Yea right.... How about after they found a ton of ballots on the side of the freeway in Florida after Bush, “Won” the election?

Tell me this, for all you people that voted in the past. How many of you voted for Bush? If you answer yes,

YOU are responsible for the women and children who die everyday in Iraq.

YOU are responsible for the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the armed services.

YOU are responsible for the huge economic sacrifice to fund the wars when our social infrastructure is suffering from lack of funds.

YOU are responsible for the Trillions of dollars in debt we’re currently in.

YOU are responsible for electing a blubbering President who can't deliever a speech without countless errors. A president who can't find an exit door if his life depended on it. etc...

I guess I have to retract statement #4 because I just realized YOUR vote does count, and no matter whom you vote for, all these negative aspects will present themselves because all politicians are crooked.

you are retarded. If you don't even bother to vote, you have no right to complain. You live in the fukking best country in the world, yet think up some lame *** reasons not to take five fukkin minutes out of your shitty life to vote. People should look down on you for choosing not to vote; you are part of the few lucky ones who are living in the best time and place in history, all thats asked is you participate in the government that makes your charmed life possible.

Is the system perfect? Of course not, but its certainly the best one the world has seen so far. Personally i would rather deal with a few inconveniences around election time, like political ads and phone calls, than live in a police state or a dictatorship.

Glad to see Lieberman keep his job, he's one of the only good ones left in the Senate....

At least him and McCain can actually work across party lines to solve problems... I hate most of the scum bags including Tom Delay & Frist as well as Howard Dean and Pelosi (spl).

I really prefer my policiticians right near the middle: Trent Lott, Lieberman, Clinton (Bill), Colin Powell, etc..

I did not vote. I didn't vote because after looking at all the available candidates for my state I realized not ONE of them actually took the time to say what their goals and ideals were. To me voting without knowing the goals and ideals of who I'm voting for is like driving a car while blind. The only thing I do know is that in Michigan our current governor (Granholm) is probably the least qualified person in the state to run the state- and in that sense I would have voted for whichever candidate is most popular that is not her. That would be the only way of getting someone not her into office. That in itself is a very uneducated vote, and uneducated voters are worse for the country than those who don't vote at all IMO.
