I was doing some reading and saw that women have better hearing than men. I find this unusual. I would assume over 90% of us on here are men. I don't know any women who know anything about audio in general, let alone car audio. I'd figure with their hearing being a slightly more keen than ours that they'd be more appreciative to a high end audio setup. From my experience, they don't care. I just found that interesting.

I dont think women have a better sense of sound. I just think they can hear better. Mine always seems to know when Im whispering on the phone.... even if Im all the way across town and shes at home. HAHAHA

having a more accute sense of hearing and knowing what you are listening to are two entirely different things. Having knowledge about how the stereo equipment works has absolutley nothing to do with either.

The study showed that women have a more keen sense of hearing. I figured that means they hear better, not listen better. I also figures this could go in the general car audio section because it is relatible to car audio. What I was trying to say was I'm surprised they don't have any interest in car audio, or really any high end audio setup. I figured they would be able to appreciate it a little more than us with their keener sense of hearing.

i would figure that males would have better hearing. hunter vs. gatherers.

well, i guess the majority of the males here don't really need great hearing for obnoxious subbass

Maybe the obnoxious subbass is the reason we don't have as good of hearing?

children have the best hearing. they hear frequency in which adults cannot. have ya heard of cell phone ringtones that play frequency only a kid could hear. this is useful for in class or something.
