***Did you get your new REAL ID yet?***

I thought I saw that Hawaii banned them too.
So i'm all good. That's the only state I think i'd want to go to in the near future.

Edit: they did.
Chertoff said that for any state which doesn't seek such a waiver by May, residents of that state will have to use a passport or certain types of federal border-crossing cards if they want to avoid a vigorous secondary screening at airport security.

My understanding is that in a few years, you wont be able to fly period,no matter where you are going. The government is forcing states to comply.

I'd like to see that happen. But I'm talking short term, I mean, I might go to Hawaii this summer, and after that (when I start college) i wouldn't have a lot of money to go on vacation.

I'd get one, if it became required. but I'm not going to go out of my way to pick one up.

I wonder if there'll be a REAL ID inspector stationed at every private airstrip in the US, making sure that nobody in a private aircraft crosses state lines with outdated licenses //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
