Did I wire this right?

I have a 10"CVR (2 ohm) that I would like to wire to a 4 ohm final load. I'm a noob and **** with this stuff so I'd like some advice/input on if I've wired it right or not.

looks like you did it right, I personaly use as small a wire possable between the bridged coils for neatness and least impact on resistance. not that 1 foot of what looks to be 12 guage changes things anyway... just how I do it.

 
Looks right now, but anytime I see 'Did I wire this right?' my first reaction is to automatically say NO lol....

Sub sounds great, a lot louder than I expected. My amp is still really hot though, not shutting off but really really hot to the touch. If I held my hand on it for more than a couple of seconds, I will probably get a blister. I know that MTX's are known to get pretty hot but I think this may be a little too hot.

Should I cponsider a d class amp (MTX 250D) instead of the amp I have right now? (MTX RT2200X)

I'm, assuming that since its a more efficiant amp that it will run cooler. Would I be at a disadvantage as far as wiring my 2 OHM DVC Kicker CVR?
