the only thing i can think of is i was a little bit rough on my rca's when i was snaking them through the truck but i dont think that would even make a difference wether or not the amp would cut on?

Do you have a test light or DMM?

Test light = $5.99 at any AutoZone

DMM = $25 @ Sears

It makes it pretty difficult to troubleshoot w/o these. Buy yourself an early Christmas present

I grounded the amp to the floor, it's in the back of a suburban i sanded the paint down drilled a hole and put a bolt there. seems like a good enough ground to me.
