Did I Mess Up My Subwoofers?

Well the story is that my friends were playing music on an iPhone(I have an android) and the iPhone is quieter compared to my android so I had my pioneer stereo cranked higher than usual. I forgot to turn it down after we got out and didn't use my truck for 5 hours. When I got back in I forgot to turn it down and my android was plugged it and it blasted and I quickly turned it down. Later I realized my subs weren't hitting as hard and it kinda had that maxxed out bass sound that is distorted. Im running an alpine 700w to two 10JL subs. Did I slightly blow my subs or amp? Should I get a new higher watt amp? I obviously am pretty new and need help. Thanks

1. Get a DMM and check the resistance of each sub

and/or

push in on the center of the cones if you feel resistance or scratching from the coil rubbing it's not looking good
