I have had all my stuff to get my system set up now for about 4 months and just now finally had it installed by chris norris. since it is my first system i had him show me how loud i can make it before i had to worry about anything being blown. I listened to a song at that volume and it was pounding. I started to smell the voice coils so i turned it down right away. now there is a small distortion and you can only hear if you are listening to it. it almost sounds like a support in the box might have just came loose. i have two MTs set up and im hoping i didnt blow one. what could have gone wrong?

it sounds kindof distorted. im not really sure what to check though. the gain on my amps are only 1/4 of the way up so im hoping one of them didnt blow

the likely hood of you blowing an mt is highly doubtful the only time ive ever seen one die was with 8000 watts and the voice coil shot completely out of that sub while it was playing lol

thanks for all the replies guys. i figured out where the distortion was coming from. my whole box was flexing so much that all the supports cn sounds put in are coming loose. How can i prevent them from getting worse?
