did i just totaly screw up making my box???uuuhhhh

The Nautilus was the old series the new ones are just called 800D or whatever, but yes i have heard them and I wanted to cream my pants when i did. When i left the shop i was let down by the sound of the real world. They were beautiful!!! The Avatar over there is the 703 which I'm picking up next Monday!!!
Yeah, the 800D. I'm not a fan of audiophile companies normally since they are always overpriced for the results, (I mean come on, 10k increase for a different finish? Please.) but I did have the chance to hear the 800's in Fishers this past weekend and they were just.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Well, it's been proven that sound 20K higher than you can hear affects sound down into the 1k range. Plus with such a high break up frequency the tweeter acts more and more like a perfect piston.... Hence the new recording mics that record up that high almost flat.....

i know i shouldnt get mad i should just get over it. i might as well just build a sealed box now. cause ported boxes are just to complicated. ****it im about to hook it up in my freinds car though to test it out. w/e this sucks

your a bit off on the port disp there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
13.5(15)x.5(2)x8.5(10)/1728=.33(.174)

I took out material thickness...probly wasnt suppost to do that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

no, the box is 16.5t, the port is 15 x 2, 30 sq in. with wood thickness the true displacement would be 15 x 2.75 (for wood) x 9.75, however he does not truly know how to design a port so the best thing we can do to get the tuning is estimate...

after sub and port displacements it comes to around 1.25 cubes though.

you had 0.033 last time though, .33 is closer, but it should come to around .25 cubes for port displacement alone.

This would be why you are the box designer and I like aero ports if it has to be ported //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
