Did I just fry my ECU on my new car?

just read what you wrote again, have fun looking for fuseable links!
yep just keep checking something blew but your car might be ok. the links look like wire but are thicker, and sometimes you can tell if they blew if they are "stretchy"

fusable links = nightmare

And letting your car sit overnight isn't going to do a thing. You blew a fuse, no doubt about it. Just gotta track it down.

Follow the wires from the positive terminal and just find the biggest fuse, use your brain. If you have a little piece of wire, connect the two input things of the fuse and see if you get anything.

why not replace all the fuses for good measure, just to know that they are good.
That's retarded. If you have trouble finding out if a fuse is good or not you're ****ing retarded.

And don't use a test light, those are for retards, use a dmm. check the resistance. 0.0 = good, 1 = bad.

How are your lights lighting up when it was hooked up backwards?
I want to start there.

prolly because the switch works on a ground contact through the relay.

as for letting it sit overnight.. Most ECU's re-set in 15 mins but overnight is plenty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

don't just start jumping fuses with wires you may cause more damage if the replacement blows check the load and see if it is fukered up and test lights rock for bouncing fast down a fuse box.

I had to take my battery pan off to get more wire earlier... I tracked down the main batt. wire until it went down below the engine, or wherever it went... didnt see any fuses though

as I stated earlier.. the big fuses are like tiny little blocks with a plastic piece over the top... I don't even know how to test them

so when testing the fuses, im looking for an OL, or anything higher than a 0 reading?

im headin out for the night.. i'll report back in the morning

thanks again guys... can't tell you how frusterating this is being a new car to me
