Did I just fry my ECU on my new car?

does the vehicle try to start when you turn the key? how about wipers, headlights, break lights...etc? does that still work?
nothing at all works

use a test light hook the clip to ground and probe both sides of each fuse or manually pull each fuse and visually look at it. you probably just blew the main cb fuses.
I did that... as I said, 2/like 12 fuses light up, but not 1 on the inside of the car lights up.

one that lit up tested the same as 1 that didnt light up both IN and OUT of the car...

I just have a hard time believing that I blew every fuse in the car besides a 5A and 10A fuse, but the 20's 30's + etc etc are all blown.....?? doesnt make sence... Don't you have to test a negative polarity car different (sorry if im using the wrong terminology there)

If your checking fuses a 0ohm fuse is good but if it reads Infinite Ohms its broken aka bad and needs to be replaced.
A fuse is A fuse is A fuse

it doesnt read infinite ohms, it read 0.00

im still real curious why the headlights worked when the terminals were reversed, and now they don't

look under the hood for a fuse panel, you prolly fried a main fuse. Itll be bigger than all the others.

ooh and smooth move :p
all the other fuses look like tiny little boxes (not relays...much smaller) I dont even know how to check them, or where to get them...those are the higher amperage fuses though

Ok.....STOP USING A TEST LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Use A Digital Mutlimeter Set To Continuity!!! Not all fuses will "light up" because not all fuses are engergized all the time...some are only hot with the ignition on....more than likely..in fact I am 99% positive you smoked your MAIN fuse... it will be either the biggest or second biggest in the fuse block under the hood...should be either 100amp or 150 amp or something of that nature..... again ..STOP using a Test Light and use the RIGHT tool for the job!!

I did... i already stated the fuses tested @ 0.00 ohms, and got voltage on the fuses that light up

however, i get 0.00V on the ones that don't, BUT they tested the same with the resistance test

I just talked to a friend who's a tech.. he said disconnect the batt... let it sit over night, hopefully the computer will re-set and everything will be fine..?? anyone else second that?
