Did I Fry My Amp?

With the RCA cables out of the HU, the sub stops doing its thing by itself.

If you tap on the RCA cable tips with your finger, you can hear the sub booming whenenver you tap them.

So, I was able to replace my head unit today. It did not fix it. The only thing left is the RCA cables, right?

if you unplug one of the rca cables going into the amp, does the noise stop?

Unfortunately, I didn't get to test that. I ended up just ripping the amp out of the car because I think it IS the amp.

I went to Best Buy and bought new RCA cables and plugged them in in the parking lot.

It did not fix the problem.

The only thing I can assume is that I've fried the output of the amp.
