Did I do this right?

my head unit has two rca preouts. I ran my mono amp to the rear. and i ran one pair of rcas to the front. I'm going to teh run the rear part of the 4 channel amp to the preout of the mono amp. Is this right?

If speakers are 2 ohms. and i hook 2 pairs up each on its own channel, will the amp be in 2 ohm impendance.

If you only have two preouts on the back of the deck, run the two to your 4 channel. Your 4 channel should have a preout that you would then hook up to your mono amp. Also, the speaker impedence load is going to change depending on how they're wired up, in series or parallel, are they dual voice coils etc....

the speakers are infinity references. they are rated at 2 ohms

Run front RCAs and rear RCAs to your 4 channel. Wire one speaker to each channel. Daisy chain from the 4 channel output stalks to the mono input stalks.

The way the output RCAs on amps work is they are a complete pass-through, they wont have the high pass filter on them. the whole signal will be sent to the mono, which will then filter out the highs.

Plus this method will still preserve the fade and balance functions on your deck. you dont want to wire 2 speakers to each other with that setup. You can only yield a 1 or 4 ohm load. 4 is safe but wouldnt make much sense when you can run one 2 ohm speaker to each channel. This will maximize the amount of power your speakers are getting.
