Did I blow my amp??

I was trying to install my system and I had my RF 500.2 all powered up and wired, but when I went to get my subs and box the speaker wires touched //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and when I came back my stereo wasn't playing and my battery shorted out. Since RF doesn't have a fuse is the amp shot?? I tried to reconnect the amp and it powers up but I don't hear anything?? What can I do?? How much would something like this cost to get repaired?? Please let me know something. Thanx!!

You just might have blown it. Was it turning on at all, any lights light up?

It's a good idea that whenever you are installing something, disconnect the battery so something like this doesn't happen. Is it warranteed? I suggest calling up RF and seeing what they can do about it.

Yes, the amp does light up and show that it has power, but I don't hear any sound? The amp is not under warranty considering I bought it from a member here and that it is the 2001 model. I really don't think I want to go through Rockford, because I feel that they will charge me an arm and a leg to get it repaired Do you or anyone else know of any authorized electronic shops that i can send the amp to and have it looked at and repaired for a good price?? I am in the Philadelphia area if that helps at all.
