Should have mentioned... the amp is running @ 1ohm and set the gains to roughly 45volts so I believe that would put me at like 2K~ rms... meter was a TermLab on the windshield of course. and the Extreme is 13" outside the passenger window for those who dont know...

ALSO, this is in the trunk of a cadillac... no fold down rear seat or anything, and it is my daily driver. Haven't got the Astro done yet, that will be the SPL comp vehicle... All i all I would say it was pretty good.

also why set the amp so low with all that electrical to back it up? sub probably wasn't even moving, severely hurting your score

recone is a 7-layer flatwound copper coil, dual sewn leads, triple stacked spiders etc...

I REALLY need to build a new , that 4ft^3 is actualy after port but before displacement so more like 3.75ft^3 net I would say... tuning is 40hz (above was a typo)

I can't afford a recone right now and I qualified in first place so I figured there was no point in risking anything. I had teh 50hz tone and DMM with me in case I wanted to up the wattage but as I said, no need to really do that as my qualifying was 1st place anyways. thought about upping it for the Extreme run but 30 seconds would make me nervous

dude i just got back from a comp too.

i did 143.5 and peaked at 47 which is like almost what yours is. i opened my door slighty and noticed it went up.

Congrats man! Adam actualy let me play a little after the show and I picked up almost two dB just by flipping my box around and opening the pass. window 6" and then another .2dB~ by cracking the drivers window. Best I managed was 143.7 but that doesn't really matter much. I know what to do for the next comp. atleast if I run the cadillac again but the Astro should be done by then...

everyone is overlooking that this is a newer caddy which has LOTS of sound deadining from the factory, the trunk is also sealed off the from the cab of the car so I'm pretty sure it wont meter for poop

I don't compete enough to throw a ton of money and a bunch of different boxes and everything into the cadillac so... As I stated, I got the astro for SPL use...

doesnt seem bad with 1 15'

i got 142.0 on the TL with 2 15's sealed at the windshield on an saz1500 at .5 ohms
