diamond d6 vs. alpine type r

i want sq but it has to be loud

it will go in a ported box in a 2003 eclipse hatchback

and powered by an mtx801.d (800+ at 2 ohms)

diamond gets my vote but i'll wait for the tcab crew to chime in and say how much the diamond sucks and how great the type r is.

lol I have the type R'S as well and I agree with that. I think they hyped it up too much.

Oh but thats right it is all install dependent. That and it will never sound right unless you get a tcab box.

I actually have that exact set up......(one of my many)

M612 w 801d in AudioEnhancers ported box,spec'd for Diamond subz

I love it.....A D6 would be a tad louder prolly

You really cant go wrong with that sub

well not all of us run tcab boxes that have type-r's, tommy's isnt a tcab and he gets loud, it is all install dependant, only applications ive heard diamonds in were fart boxes so my opinion is going to be type-r but i have never heard diamonds at a low note, i know mark just built a box for some diamonds at a low note ill let him chime in on this subject if he feels like it.

I vote for DIamond....I have a Diamond (D9) in the box recommended by DA and it gets CRAZY LOUD!! Look at their website, they have plans for SMALL ported boxes. My 10" box is only 12X14X16
