Diamond D6 blown?

I have a Diamond D6 1000.1 running on a CVX 10. I had the gains adjusted to where the sub wouldnt be harmed bc of the power of the amp. Last night I noticed the woofer wasnt on so I looked at the amp. When the truck starts up the power light on the amp turns on but when a bass note plays the power light goes out. Is this the amp or the sub?

I checked and all wires are secure. If the sub would it at least get a connection from the amp and make a muddy thumping sound? I dont know if its the sub or amp but I would think it was the amp bc the sub has no response at all.

you can check your sub with a dmm and just because the wires on the amp look tight that dont mean the other ends are good. like at the battery and ground. go buy or barow a multi meter. the power light going out like that could be a loose wire.
