I'm getting ready to order 2 Diamond Audio D312.2 subs and have not decided between sealed or ported. (i will probably go ported though). The specs on Diamond Audio's website show this for the recommended dimensions:

I listen to mostly classic rock and alternative, although I do throw some techno and rap in once in a while. So, should I use the specs on DA's website or go a different route? I've looked through the "free box plans" section, but can't decide what size and tuning would sound best for my application. I will have both the subs and port (if i go ported) firing into the cabin.
This will be my first box build, which I'm sure you could tell from my O-so-newbish questions. Thanks for the help.
