since im sending back my rainbow vanadiums, im in the market for another sq sub(s)... ive been looking at the diamond audio line... mainly the m6mkii and the tdx... ive seen good reviews for both... but only in 12's... im either looking at getting a 12" m6 or a 10" tdx... will i be losing or gaining anything by going with a 10? has anyone had any personal experience with them?

also... im open to any other suggestions for sq oriented subs... i know a bunch of people are going to mention the idmax...

ill be running 1000RMS @ 2ohms from a us amps de-1000...

thanks...

The M6mk2s are excellent mid level subs - I run 2 12s with 800+ watts going to each

very clear, loud and excellent SQ - I think they sound better than W7s IMO

TDX's will hang with any of the above mentioned,If you want give Koop a buzz over at DA

he can answer your questions, excellent cust service..........

The TDX is probably going to give you more SPL in a ported enclosure if you want it. It'll sound clean and tight as hell in a sealed enclosure though. I'm not sure if 1000w is enough to get "really" loud in a sealed enclosure though. By loud I mean rap/techno oriented.

You'll be losing output with moving down to 10" but the TDX sounds better. I'd personally go with a soundsplinter, oz audio, or ascendant audio sub.

his name is coot.

i have a tdx 12" with a d51200.1 on it in a sealed 2ft^3 box. bass is tight accuate and clean. it is the best setup i have had with SQ in mind. i have heard and played with tons of setups. i still find myself back at the tdx even after testing the eclipse ti's, W7s, mag d2 (finally tested with one), and the alpine type-x.

yeah ive already had a little chat with him... im curious on whether 2 - 10" cm3s would be good? vs of course the single higher level sub...

im still a little torn... but ive got some time to make up my mind... still considering a idmax but thought id stick with da since i used to have an m3... then i switched to cdt audio... and now i wanna change around my setup...

i would go with a single tdx over two cm3's if you are looking for SQ.

well arc audio could answer that question for ya... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but the reason is that one came looking like it was damaged before shipping... there were about 10 small dents in the center cap, scratches on the ring around the subs, and the packaging was missing from the box... i had asked previously multiple times about the condition of the subs and they were stated to be brand new in box... since arc is no longer distributing/marketing rainbow (alumapro is now) they dont have any left to send as a replacement... so im just getting my money back because i need a pair of them...

also... just heard an idmax in a 2.5cu ft ported box running off a hifonics brutus and wasnt too impressed... dont get me wrong... it sounded good but i dont see what all the fuss about it was... maybe i just need to hear it in a different setup...
