Diamond audio d3 600.1 (what's the story)

I installed a Diamond Audio D1 300.4 in my 300zx while my Arc Audio KS 125.4 was being serviced but the sq and blend with my speakers in the Z is outstanding. I found a brand new Diamond Audio D3 600.1 online brand new at a very good price. When I looked at the instruction manual, it states that this is a class H amplifier. Then I remembered someone on this forum saying that the old Diamond Audio D3 amplifiers were made by the same engineers that made Arc Audio. What's the story on this?
