dhd amp and an l7

ive got a dhd 2009 and a kicker06sl7 12 will this amp be able to push this sub its a 4 channel amp 250 x4 2 ohms stable 1000 watts in all the speaker has dual 2 ohm coils any help would be great

Yeah it will work , wire the sub in series and bridge the rear channels on the amp , but that DHD is probably not gonna push it very hard .

that dhd says 250x4 so that equals 1000 watts what true watts r coming out of that thing and how many true watts can the l7 handdle any suggetions on a amp that will push my l7 but not to costly

Your problem is that it is a 4 channel amp that is only stable too 4 ohm mono , You just want to run the sub off of the amp right ? You should look into a mono subwoofer amp that puts out 750 to 1000 watts at 1 ohm .

Your amp can work, fella. The problem is twofold here, though.

A) DHD amps do not out out anywhere near their rated output. Sadly they just are not quality units and consequently it is the reason you see them most often at those flea-market type clearance sales at your local fairgrounds or in pawn shops. Most reputable dealers refuse to carry them.

B) You bought a 4-channel amp to power a single subwoofer, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif You can bridge 2 of the 4 channels and wire the sub's voice coil in series to show the amp a 4 Ohm load and it will work but the amount of wattage being given your Solobaric will be less than optimal...
