Detachable Double DIN?

I need to make this decision today, so any help would be hugely appreciated.

I have a Power Acoustik PTID 7002nrb- I got it mainly because the screen detaches. While I am mostly happy with it, I have 2 more days to return it if I find something better and I'd like to. I'm looking for a decent Double DIN HU, preferably with 7" screen. I (was thinking I) need a detachable face, as I live half the year in a VERY high-crime rate area. The only one I've found is the JVC KW-AVX830, and its resolution is lower than the Power Acoustik's. Can you guys help me out?

Edit: ...I've been thinking... if someone looks in and sees a faceplate-less HU, they will know I've got at least some aftermarket stuff in there. However if they look in and see a screen, if it fits well enough... it could look just like factory navi. looking at Pioneer AVH-4100, 4200 or 4300 DVD, but doesn't look too stock. What do you guys think? Recommendations?

JVC is the only company I know that sells one like that, unfortunately. I get customers asking about that all the time.

Do you know anything about this JVC? There were complaints of it being slow... I decided to return the Power Acoustik. I'm between the Pioneer 4300 and the JVC.
