Democratic Presidential Debate

I would like to see a more moderate democratic candidate. None of them really have a nice fiscally conservative plan. The republicans' plan is only marginally better.
One party tells you to your face they are going to spend tons of money on new programs, the other says they are for smaller goverment and will just back door you for tax money when your not lookin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Exactly...I don't really feel either party represents my views. I am teh disenfranchised vota.

It's tough because these people work so hard and spend so much money trying to convince us that they aren't giant douches and big turds, when in fact that is all that they are.

Free National Health care isn't free at all, it's the worst idea since plastic slinkys.

All the republicans want to talk about is illegals and fighting terrorism when to many people we have become the terrorists.

I want to vote 'none of the above'.

Watched the Recap and watched some videos...seems like Edwards really killed last night but he's still going to have a hard time against the money of Obama and Clinton.

There were some people interviewed afterwards who said they preferred Edwards and thought he won the debate, but that they were going to vote for Obama anyways because they think Edwards is too far behind.

Disappointing when people think like that....

well i think compulsory military service would actually be beneficial for our country.....we could use it to control the declining number of soldiers, solve our current wars more quickly, and create jobs that would boost the economy.
now i don't see much downside in it.....
Except that this is a free country which means that people get to decide for themselves if they want to join the military.

I'm with Rmsanger on the "none of the above" vote. I truly do not want any of the candidates as our president. I believe everyone of them are inferior and unqualified. But then again, thats nothing new in the presidential race.

Classic:p

John Edwards:

September 12, 2002: "We know that for at least 20 years, Saddam Hussein has obsessively sought weapons of mass destruction through every means available. We know that he has chemical and biological weapons today. He has used them in the past, and he is doing everything he can to build more. Each day he inches closer to his longtime goal of nuclear capability — a capability that could be less than a year away.

I believe that Saddam Hussein's Iraqi regime represents a clear threat to the United States, to our allies, to our interests around the world, and to the values of freedom and democracy we hold dear...

The path of confronting Saddam is full of hazards. But the path of inaction is far more dangerous. This week, a week where we remember the sacrifice of thousands of innocent Americans made on 9-11, the choice could not be starker. Had we known that such attacks were imminent, we surely would have used every means at our disposal to prevent them and take out the plotters. We cannot wait for such a terrible event – or, if weapons of mass destruction are used, one far worse – to address the clear and present danger posed by Saddam Hussein's Iraq."

What has Senator Edwards Accomplished in Washington? Since Joining U.S. Senate In 1999, Edwards Has Been Lead Sponsor On: 74 bills, NONE of which has emerged from Committee for a floor vote. 78 amendments, 23 of which passed the Senate. 6 resolutions, 4 of which passed the Senate. No legislation Edwards has been lead sponsor on has become law.

John Edwards: "The answer is the federal government."

Communist Manifesto: "To centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the State, i.e., of the proletariat organized as the ruling class; and to increase the total productive forces as rapidly as possible. "

With proper charisma, politicians can fool the masses with such class-warfare rhetoric. After such a short term in the Senate and having held no previous public office, he can hardly be advertised as best qualified to assume the presidency.
