DELL Hell...

I've had this piece of shit laptop for 2 yrs now and nothing but problems. The harddrive was JUST replaced last week for the second time. It's been sent back twice, came back without rubber feet and dust under the screen, and had numerous issues afterwards.

I called today about a black screen and after all these issues the ******* supervisor was telling me I can't get a replacement because the problems aren't "related" what the ****? I ask what he means by not related Then he says "Well you can either send it back or I can send a tech to you and continues with more bullshit and asking what I'm talking about when it's the exact same thing he told me... then basically tells me to **** off by saying "We can't wait on this situation" What the **** this IS support...

Now they want to replace the mother board.. AGAIN ... you would think with so many issues and with a repair LAST ****ING WEEK they'd go ahead and replace it, I don't give a shit if it's refurbished I just don't want THIS piece of shit anymore... I went ahead and agreed with the tech coming they said if I have anymore issues "we can explore options...

If it breaks again which I know it will, I'm not hanging up the ****ing phone until a new computer is in the box being shipped to my address...

Had the same problem with my dad's Alienware laptop...gfx card twice, hard drive once, mobo once, keyboard once...

They need laws against lemon computers.

my university has a deal with dell.

three of my engineering friends bought dell laptops their freshman year, and ALL three laptops screens broke within the first semester.

And their best solution is to turn it off and back on, hold this key... blah blah **** that. SEND ME A NEW ******* LAPTOP! I can't believe these assholes... I'm tempted to call back and refuse the tech coming and DEMAND a replacement. This is rediculous... Spent $1,200 on this piece of shit... Atleast I have another year of warranty left...

ive had a dell for 2 years, no problem except my screen cracked from my own fault, and i shipped it in to get fixed and had it back in 1.5 weeks

and what is your computer of choice? HP and Compaq are some of the most popular here in the states and have a 2x higher failure rate than Dell machines.

That said, my HP came from the factory with a defect and I sent it in to get fixed, had in back in a week with no problems since...

Dont buy the low end inspirons. Gold support is actually pretty nice, I work in a school district where we work with nothing but dell. The hard disk is not produced by dell. Make sure to put the laptop to sleep or turn it off before moving it, be careful when setting it down or carrying it with one hand. you can flex the motherboard or trash the hdd like that. Driving with them on is also a terrible idea. I will agree that the lower end laptops from dell are awful. If youre going to get a low end laptop, go with gateway. good hardware, basic setup, cheap and reliable, I go through laptops like water and ive found them to be the best for the price. The other option is an OEM machine. I could help to troubleshoot but it doesnt sound like youre up for that. if anyone needs PC help just PM

I've used a lot of Dell laptops over the last few years and have had fair luck with them..the pakistanis on the phone are a bit irritating but I just tell them if they don't help me I'm going to kill a cow and they're making me do it.

I dislike Dell and HP because they smell

I bought a POS Emachine 5 years ago.... It's like the energizer bunny...

My newest computer is a Gateway laptop... I dont use it much, it does tend to freeze up is I am on yahoo instant messenger and facebook-farmville. That is the only issue I have so far.
