DEKA Intimidator - 9A31

Good Batts? I am getting 2 MD3's soon and I need some good batts on a budget. I was thinking about 3 SVR80-12's but then I ran across these and they had better overall reserve than the SVR's and they are cheaper. However, the price is what makes them look suspect to me. Every other batt in that performance range is around 300 i found them for 150. Should I get 3 of the SVR80-12's or 3 of the Deka Intimidator-9a31? These will be my auxillary batts. And I will probably be getting a new starting batt too since my exide orbital will not hold a charge or even see a charge over 12.5v with the truck off.

I run an SVR up front and Deka in the rear. Pushing around 3500+watts outta the Sundowns and all is good. Very slight dimming at full tilt, not even enough to make me add a 2nd Deka. Solid battery for the $$$. I guess Deka just isn't as proud of their name as some other companies. LOL

You going through REMY?

Check the Deka site for specs/info as I'm not sure about using it as a starting battery. I just know it's like 800cca, but also BIG, so probably hard to fit up front unless you have a truck.

As I said, my Deka has been working fine for around 8 months now. Had a chance to blast my system for around 30 minutes tonight while cruising down the highway, AC on, headlights, etc.. and NO dimming at all.

Sounds like you're talking to an SVR dealer...
