DEI valet 552T install help!!!

Hi,

I have a DEI Valet 552T that I had to remove from a vehicle I was selling and would like to install in my Cherokee, but am not sure what the wires coming off the relay satellite go to? Could you possibly let me know what the following wires coming off the HCRS 4 relay satellite are for?? (two RED, one PINK,one PURPLE,one ORANGE, one PINK/WHITE). OR at least what the wires coming out of the 5-pin harness plug go to? (purple,orange,pink,yellow,red)

dunno if you got my e-mail yet or not but...

Both Reds - 12 Volts

Purple - Starter

Orange - Accessory

Pink - Ignition 1

Pink/White - Ignition 2

i'm 99% sure this is right unless they've changed them for that one alarm haha.. need anything else i'll see if i can help though

What year cherokee? Grand or regular? You may need modules to go w/ your 552T. Get back w/ me. If it is a newer grand cherokee 03 or 04 you will need two.

It's a 1996 Cherokee Limited and From what I've checked it shouldn't need any. Right?? I just wasn't sure where to make the connections coming off the relays?? I originally had it installed in 2001 and didn't recieve any paper work from the shop.

You will make those connections in the main ignition harness under the steering column. As long as the key head is black and not gray, you wont need a bypass. That vehicle should be a fairly easy one. I have done a couple. Are you installing keyless entry, or any of the other features? If you need any help along the way, i can guide you through it. Keep in mind you will also need to run a 12volt lead from the ignition harness (relay satelite) to the brain. Be sure to make a good clean ground (i usually do mine in the kick panel). I also solder all my connections in the relay pack. If you have any other questions, hit me up.
