I have the 3.5RSX and I'd love to get the SST. I haven't found a whole lot of info on the SST, so is it a whole new alarm or can I just buy it and swap brain/remote? Thanks.

You'll need to swap the brain and antenna i *think*.

should just be the brain and antenna, which in the picture look the same but it could be different, if youre really worried about it call them and ask

Yes the main harnesses are all the same... but remote start harnesses and antennas are different.

Brain and antenna swap. No harness change at all. If your friendly enough with your local shop, they may do it for a couple bucks.

I was just saying dei doesn't use the same harness for all their remote starts... their entry level ones are completely different.

*edit*now that i look back i read his post he was just referring to this unit not all units.

It is indeed a bit different from the previous RS3.5 (Im a clifford dealer,not Viper). Although the range is an improvement, if your used to the older 3.5/791 platform 50.5/5900 Will seem slower.

the 3.5 and the 791 are the exact same alarm just ones in blue and ones carbon fiber
