Dehp490ib Installation problems...Please Help!

I just bought this HU from cartronix. I have two amps and a cap that ran with no problems with a clarion DRX9375R HU. I installed the new HU and I am getting really bad feed back(more from the front speakers than the rear or subs). I took it to the local Car Audio shop and they hooked it up in the store and the feedback was gone. He told me I probably had a bad ground. I took my old clarion and installed it and the sound was clear. I installed the pioneer again and the distortion was back. I have no clue what is going on. Do you think the HU is bad? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This is what I have....Don't know if that helps or not

Clarion DRX9375R HU

Rockford Fosgate Punch 200: Infinity Kappa 6x9

Rockford Fosgate 1.0 Farad Cap

had the exact same problem, i also have the exact same HU, you need to ground loop the RCA outputs, i cant find the link to it on this site right now, but i'm sure someone else can, it works 100%. trust me man, none of you equipment went bad, it had me thrown for a loop for like a week till i figured it out. take some 14gauge wire to it and youll be all set.

p.s. when i took mine to a shop they installed a noise filter that did nothing, lost 2 screws to my dash in the process, and left two bare wires in the back of my HU, and spent $45 for a diagnostic fee for absolutely nothing.

edit: check it... http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198477&highlight=ground+loop

so I lied.....I was listening to my stereo at about half volume and you can't hear the distortion(feedback). I just went out and listened to it pretty low and it still sounds pretty bad. I don't know whats going on..... any suggestions????

I wrapped bare wire around where the rcas go and grounded it to the HU. I'm lazy today, but there is a sticky about this. I have a Premier 690 that was doing the same thing. I had a clarion that i liked a lot too.

I did it as tight as I could but I will take it out and try it again. If that doesn't work I will try re grounding the HU. The reason I didn't do that before is because my Clarion HU works perfect with the original ground.

Thanks for all the help everyone, hopefully this works!
