x2, I'm guessing you're looking into these decks because you like the one knob approach? I would get the P8MP because it has stronger pre-amp outs and a motorized face which is kinda cool

the deh-p770mp can't upload movies

and also y do people say that the p8mp is for newbiz and beginners ?

i mean something worth 300/350 and gives 27w rms and has 3 6.5volts pre-amp outputs is for beginners ?

i have the p8 (premier)...love it.

i dont think its for 'beginners', something more on the flashy side with features to back it up. 6.5v preamp outputs, 27rms/mofset 60wx4, sexy deep blue OEL display, very easy to configure, but the movies...forget it. its just a small pixel screen in blue. after a month, i dont pay attention to the customizing of this deck and just like it for its power mainly.

Well i have not used a 8mp i do use a 7700 currently in my truck. and if the 8mp eq is like the 7700 people may say its for begineers because of the fact that it auto adjusts your eq curve for you based on other freq settings you have. personally id much rather adjust my 13 abd eq myself and not have other eq setting be adjusted by each freq setting i change. but its still a great unit none the less. i also like the volt meter that it has on it (the 7700 that is) and the knob is a nice feature as well.

I've owned a lot of Pioneer decks over the years and I've never had one short out. Had the volume button break once and that's because I dropped it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Anyways, the p8 does have some nice features that the p770 doesn't have. Also the big knob does take a little getting used to, but it's ok when you do.

The p8 has the Burr Brown DAC's too, right?
