DEH-P8500MP problems please help !!!

hey guys i have a pioneer deh-p8500mp and im having a problem with the front face not connecting, i took it to a shop i always go to and they said its the ribbon or connection or something like that but i dont want to pay the big bucks its gonna cost in labor so i was wondering if someone on here can point me in the right direction like to a website with a how to or something along the lines. thanks a lot Justin

how long have you had the unit? is there any warranty left on it?

no probably not i have had it for 3 years now and the guy i always go to said its gonna be like 125 to fix but like 100 for me cuz he will give me a little discount and 2 and a half weeks, but i dont have that right now and i just bought a new car and it has no radio and its killing me lol

man i cant believe this, they were gonna charge me 100 dollars to fix this, i have been researching and found the part needed and it takes like 5 minutez to fix from what i have read others saying. now the question is does anyone know of a store that would carry this part, as in store i could drive to tmw and get instead of waiting for it to come in the mail. thanks Justin
