Deh-8400MP

I have a Deh-8400MP that is giving me problems. When the face opens the display goes away and the buttons dont work. I have been able to work around it so I dont go crazy listening to the road. But I think it might be the little ribben cable. I can see it and it jooks like a bad design but i did not pay atition to that when i bought it. has anyone see this befor.

yeah, just had mine fixed under warranty. I'd recommend calling pioneer and seeing what they can do for you.

That is the single biggest problem those type of decks have had. The 8400/840, 8500/950 and now the 9600/960 all have had this problem. Pioneer will fix this or you can just order the cable if I remember correctly.

IMO.......dual face = bad idea
