Definitive answers......Amp screwed to Sub Box?

i've had a few screws from the bottom of the amp fall out from doing this...

wow...were they just screwed into the wood?

I used T-Nuts and regular bolts and actually had to rip 2 of them out because they like fused together...

i mounted my hifonics 2008d to my sub box. i put some rubber washers between the amp and the box.

I have mine screwed to the box due to space issues (GF doesn't want the whole trunk taken up). Mine is secured to the back of the box with T-Nuts and rubber O-rings. Works like a charm, with no ill effects.

I plan doing it also.

The baffle is doubled up and it will be across most of the box bracing so I'm sure mine will be good.

It's not bad, but it's not ideal.

very true. sometimes with cheap amps you run into problems of the amp failing from the vibrations. i'd get some foam weather stripping from home depot or lowes and and line the belly of the amp so that the belly of the amp isnt slapping the box. you want the stripping to be thick enough to absorb the vibrations so not something too dense. at the same time if you pickup stuff thats too thick you might bend the feet where you screw it to the box....which isnt too bad but still want to avoid bending the amp feet.
