Uhm, if this "audiophile speaker" is more accurate than the other speaker, it IS a better SQ speaker. Where's the confusion in that? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifi get what squeak is saying, but if audio was run by that, then the so called "audiophile" speakers would be better than others because they are "accurate".
And yes, SQ is the stereo's ability to accurately reproduce the signal material as close to the original recording as possible. That definition has no room for "I like a fat end on my sound" or "I love a flat response" etc etc. Way way too many people try to pawn off their personal preference in sound as "SQ". This is why I always take someone's review/comparison of different subs with a grain of salt, even when a direct comparison. Ignoring all the other possible differences (enclosure alignment, etc etc), just a personal preference in what that person thinks the system 'should' sound like is enough to skew his opinion versus anyone elses.
