deeper bass during summer?

This may seem dumb. But when its hot out my car is nice and toasty, it seems like my speakers and subs put out more bass than when its cool out.

For example, my mirrors shake alot more and I can feel that the bass is deeper. And when its cooler, my mirrors dont shake nearly as much and it seems like some of my bass is missing.

Has anyone noticed this or have had this happen?

air density //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
so less density = louder db's?

I knew cold/dense air added to the performance of a car b/c there are more O2 molecules for combustion.

Is less dense air easier to move than more dense air?

Denser air puts more pressure on the cone, and in effect puts resistance on it, so it could be that it produces less volume... but it would create more pressure (pressure = DeEbeEeZzZzzZzzZZZ)

eh i think you just get used to the level your at

such as

when we were all 15 we though 2 12's in an 88 iroc z was crazy loud

then in yer 20s 2 18's with 1k to each was loud

you kinda get used to it.....or atleast I did

i dunno the science of it. but i know thats what it is. plus the sub is more "loose" when it's warm so that may add to it. and my amp seems to perform better warm.

I usually keep my windows closed during hot days and just have the AC on.

It also seems to happen to with the windows open too.

Last night I was showing my buddy my system. It sounded pretty good. But this morning I played the same track when it was warmer out and it was much more impressive.

physically speaking less mass is directly proportional to force therefore less dense air would allow speakers to create a bigger force. Ehh I dont know if that applies to sound waves
