Deep Cycle Battery vs. H/O Altenator

Will a deep cycle battery help with my dimming lights? I am going to get one but if it won't help my electrical system does anyone know where I can get a H/O Altenator?

maybe, but a HO output alt is reccomended. a new alt will definitely do it, while it is not guaranteed at all with a deep cycle

A battery is for storage, to be used when the alternator is not running (i.e., engine off), and so maybe an alternator would be more appropriate... I don't know much alt brands, but since I see so much of their ads (hey, it's the best I could do with only magazines to update myself on the latest products), I think a stinger would do... depending on your setup, you can get different ratings, but if I were you, I'd get the one with teh most output that I can afford..never know when you'll need that little extra power.

The factory altenator in my car is 105 amps so what would you suggest. I can get a Optima Deep Cycle off of my Base for 135 no tax. Even if it doesn't help I will at least have a better battery. How many amps would you suggest.

By April I plan to have 3 Cadence Savages with a 1100D DEI Amp.

i would deffiniatley recomend uping the battery if you up the alternator....what type of amp(s) are you running? I would say try to upgrade the alternator by whatever the max draw of those amps are....so mabey add whatever your fused at right now (if you can of cource).

I have a SPL 1600 Watt amp. Only 740 wtts rms though. Don't know how much its pulling. I heard Class D amps require less current than AB Amps so I figure getting a Class D should be less demanding on my electrical system.
