Deck problems

I'm not really having a problem with my deck so to speak. I wired my new deck into my 94 Dodge Intrepid...but the deck sticks out from where it is a little...Also, when i drive, the deck slides around and sorta comes out, and its annoying as hell...I was wondering if theres ANYTHING i can do/buy to make it look better and stop annoying me!

Well, your deck definitely shouldn't be sliding around...LOL.

Did you install any kind of dash kit? Also, did you bend the appropriate tabs on the mounting sleeve?

a kit would work great if you can find one...also if there's any little empty space under the HU it might have some brackets on it that you might be able to mount the HU onto as well. As for it "sticking out"....it depends if you have enough room for it inside there....you might be able to rearrange the wires to make it slide back further.

the sleeve should hold it in place . if you dont have one thats prob why its rattlin around.

Yea, I already have a sleeve on it...there is an empty space around the HU..thats why its sliding around...I ordered this kit thing offline, but it didnt work at all, it didnt fit right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif My boyfriend told me that they can put this thing over the HU to hold it in place, seeing as how mine sticks out...I tried re-arranging the wires, that didnt help at all...the fact still remains that my deck is too big for the space provided. I guess i'll just have to take a trip to best buy and see what they can do. Thanks for your help guys!

Intrepids like yours can be a problem because there's not as much space behind the head unit as most Chryslers. It will take a normal Chrysler dash kit, but not if the head unit is recessed into the kit, which is how some Chrysler kits are designed.

You can either find a dash kit that allows you to mount the head unit without being recessed, or use a trim ring or spacer to give you the extra room. It will still be a tight fit, but usually it looks okay.
