this might seem like a dumb question, but i have read a lot on this forum, and i have never read anything about this. say you matchup your subs to your amp as far as wattage goes. lik a sub equaling 300 watts, and your turn your amp up to about 300 watts. then u turn have the HU settings. when i turn the bass up on my HU, i notice a lot of bass increase, does this increase the wattage going into the sub much more? say the sub is 300 rms, is having HU bass up push more wattage into the sub, and if so, neone know about how much. ill use my HU for example, its 16 watts RMS i think, and 45 peak. so if i have the bass all the way up, am i actually running 350 watts to my sub? or is there another method to it?

well, it hasnt happened yet, but what your saying is if you have your amp turned up at a pretty high level, and your head unit at a high level as well, that may cause your amp to clip?
