Deck acc. doesnt work.?

Driving home and my deck just turned off. so i got home and looked at it. if i do acc+constant to the 12v and ground the ground it turns on fine. if i do constant to 12v and acc to acc and ground to ground, it doesnt turn on. this just happened today. worked fine for 3 years. where do i go from here?

get a dmm and check your acc/ignition wire

what should the dmm register as?

and the fuses are fine.

Check for voltage on the constant and accessory wire. They should read around 12v or possibly higher with the vehicle running. If you dont have power on one of them, then either its a fuse or an even larger electrical problem.

dmm should register as 12v or more for the acc wire when the car is on

ok..well i mean doesnt it automatically point towards the car's acc wire? the deck acc works as shown when i use it with the constant and it turns on.

sound like there is something wrong with your acc wire coming from the car. Only way is to test it with a DMM. If the dmm doesnt get a reading when you probe it, there is something wrong with ur electrical. Fuse might be blown from either underneath the steering wheel or underneath the hood or some other problem

so fvckin annoying. just randomly stops. o well..ill pull the dmm out tomorrow and hopefully get a reading. if not ill just go getto and wire the acc and constant to the constant.

wont your headunit stay on all the time unless you install a switch
