Decision Between Morel/Rainbow

So I bought the Rainbow i.Paul DM2000 (1000 @1 Ohm, 750 @ 2 Ohm) and thought I was gonna go with 2 10's but now it looks like only 1 12" or 1 10" will fit.

I really like the reviews on the Morel Ultimo and would have to decide between the 10 or 12 but they would both be underpowered (750 @ 2 Ohm).

The Rainbow Amboss 12 looks promising but it is only rated for 550 RMS and would be wired at 1 Ohm (1000 RMS). Anyone with experience on these know how much they can really handle?

So basically, 10" Ultimo, 12" Ultimo (Lower Resonance Freq...yaya!), or 12" Rainbow Amboss. Who knows, maybe a Vandium or Profi as well...

HELP!

Theres nothing out there that really interests me right now so this is basically what I have narrowed it down to.

And constraints on space/mounting depth limit my choices as well.

Just wondering if anyone had experience with any of these subs.

well i dont know if its true with rainbow subs.. but this is defently true with their comps.. so it might be..

but i have a pair of rainbow cmx mids.. and if you look at them.. they look very clean.. but they dont look like much at all... i've never seen a speaker get so loud with so little power.. and even tho they can only handle say 150 watts.. they sound like most speakers with 300

but with any decent driver, sub or normal speaker, install plays the biggest role, and between rainbow and morel, im sure thats gonna be the difference.

The ultimo performs very well in a sealed enclosure. One of my favorite sub stages is an ultimo 12" sealed. The rainbow subs are no slouch either. Can't really go wrong with either. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't usually just post and suggest my own drivers, but this thread got my attention. If you end up buying the Ultimo, let me know and I'll send you an AV12X to compare to it. Twice the Xmax, less than half the inductance and more linear inductance, flux stays fixed in the gap so parameter stay the same at various power levels.

The Ultimo is a great driver, so I'm not trying to discredit that. I guarantee that the AV woofers are even lower distortion at a whole lot less money. We've been competing with the likes of Dynaudio, Scan Speak, Seas Excel, Morel, Skaaning(Audio Technology), and ATC for years. Our Lambda drivers always prove lower distortion with a lot more excursion and much more efficiency at significantly less cost.
