Hurricanes are on a roughly 60-year cycle, when the amount of storms peak. We're right around the peak...
There could very well be another this year.
everything seems to be in its cycle to be the worst ever, in the past 10 - 15 years, off the top of my head, flood of 93, many earthquakes, katrina, tsunami 04, im sure theres many many more

global warming?

It is possible that he will be without power for over 3 months. I just saw on the news that the water could still rise another 9 feet:crap: A lot of New Orleans is now in my backyard lol. My town is usually about 100,000 people, but right now it is more like 300,000. The population of Baton Rouge is also expected to double.
I was also wondering about NegativeEffect. He lives in Houma, which is just off of the coast and right underneath New Orleans. That idiot said that he was going to stick it out:crazy:

MmmmmMMmmm, we play Lafayette this Saturday!

Nope...as convienent as it may seem, globing warming isn't the cause of a stronger hurricane season this year.
eh, we prolly wont know untill something really horrible happens with global warming, thats when people will be like, oh my gosh what have we done! global warming is bad! we better stop using oil, even though its 122 dollars a barrel, oh and gas is 3.39 a gal here now! it was 2.55 48 hours ago
