Deciding on in-dash NAV

I had 2 different Pioneer units and after returning them I went with the Kenwood DDX812. It is everything I was looking for. I bought the Nav separate and love it. Bluetooth built in rocks. I also added a 30 gig HD for my music. It has all of the features and so far no issues.

I had the a Pioneer and was surprised that I did not like it much. Went with the Kenwood DDX812 and was amazed. I added a 30 gb hardrive for $20 instead of Ipod and now I have all my music with a touch screen. Bluetooth is awesome. Just added the factory Kenwood Nav accessory by Garmin. All work great with no issues. Best deck I have every used. I was very picky on the quality of Bluetooth and quality of a Nav.

Instead of using their own half backed attempt for accessories, Kenwood signed up with leaders in their field. Parrot handles the Bluetooth and Garmin handles the Navigation.

I also had the Pioneer and did not like the nav fuctions. I returned the unit for the Kenwood DDX812. I found I could buy the radio and add the Nav as an accessory for less than the 8120. The Navigation software is by Garmin so you know you will be keeping up to date. I found the software routes better and faster and very customer friendly. You won't be disappointed with the Kenwood. I have owned 10 Pioneer decks in the past and never thought I would switch. I am so glad I did.
