Deciding between MB Quart subs

I like MB Quart subs, I love my MB Quart speakers, I have an MB Quart amp on the way... in a nutshell, I really like MB Quart.

I'm looking at 2 MB Quart subs:

Option 1: 2 MB Quart RWE304s

Option 2: 1 MB Quart PWE352

Both will come out to roughly the same price. Both will be getting 1200w via an MB Quart PAB1200.1D. Both will be in a sealed box built to spec.

the first ones are pretty solid subs i have a friend who has two and they strait up pound but they dont sound that great imo

I've demoed them, and loved em. Just don't know if I want to go with the 12" Reference or the 15" Premium. I'd imagine the 15" would have better SQ.

Inverted surrounds used to be used a lot in smaller speakers that would be placed close to something to keep them from rubbing.

If you go with the 12s, I would recommend putting them in something no smaller than 4 cubes for the pair. I had a friend that did two of them in 2 cubes for the pair and the low end was terrible and they were very peaky in the 50-80hz range. We put them in 5 cubes total sealed and they smoothed out a lot and gained a ton of low end. Just food for thought.

Used to have the RWE304's. Sounded very nice.

I'd take those over the 15's if I was given the choice.

I'd rather go with the Rockford-era subs than the Maxxsonics-era subs. I just like how they look more. And I havent heard the first review on the new ones.

I thought they had great SQ when in the larger sealed enclosure. The small enclosure definitely made them peaky and lacking in some kick drums.

Yea I like the older ones looks alot better. The Hifonics ones look a little beefier tho. Not that it always matters.
