Debading the car, what is the best way going at it?

I use fishing line to get it started then just pull the emblem up slowly and most of the adhesive usually comes with it. I use goof off and it takes the remaining adhesive right off. Definitely test the goof off in a hidden spot first to make sure it doesn't fuk your paint up.

and like you said...wax after your done

I recommend using a hair dryer on it to warm up the sticky crap. It will rub right off. Goof Off will eat the paint. Goo Gone wont.
I used goof off on my motorcycle and it didn't eat any paint, just the adhesive. Who knows how it reacts with different kinds of paint though.

heat it up a little and take it off. Then I would recomend using goo gone or bug and tar remover to get most of it off; then go over it with a clay bar, then wax it!

also what kind of car? make sure there isnt any holes from the badge that would **** if u removed it and there was.

goo gone is ok got me really high from the fumes. i found using the car wash high pressure wash right on it got the adhesive off better then waxed and buffed it.

I accidently ripped my badge off when I was drying my car with a towl. I ripped it in half, I said **** it and ripped the rest of it off.

Now I have two holes where it used to be and adhesive that wont come off without taking the paint with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

best way and quickest ive found is use a heat gun to heat and remove emblems, fishing string helps here, then i use a rubber buffing wheel in my drill to quickly remove the adhesive, then a quick polis and wax:)

Thanks for the help guys. I will try the hair dryer on it and then the fishing line and just work it off slowly. I have some goo-gone, so will try with that first......and hopefully it will work.

Thinking tomorrow is the day. Will be out there for a long time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I detail my car twice a year. I really hate detailing the older I get, lol!
