Umm, thats exactly what they were designed for. The main reason they were built was for DB drag classes.
10's and 12's for street, 18's for superstreet and extreme. Thus why they never made a 15". Not enough demand.

If the DP has 22mm of xmax and the solo x has 24 mm of xmax wouldnt the solo x be better for spl I mean thats not even taking in the fact the square cone which we all know is bigger then a round sub.. I know you cant go off xmax alone but just a thought i guess.

We have never had a competitor swap from DP's to Solo-X's, but we have had numerous competitors go from Solo-X's to DP's.....again....food for thought

at sbn this year. running pr dp12" w/ 2 ia 40.1s i posted a 155.9. 2nd in advance no wall iasca.

i have seen the solo x post very good #s, but the customer service is 2nd to none with incriminator. the guys from incriminator were there in the hottt sun both days building subs for compeditors.

As long as you have enough motor force to reach the target excursion level, xmax means very very little in the SPL arena. Take a look at DD or the DP vs. a sub like the RL-S. The DD and DP will spank the RL-S in the SPL lanes. ...not at 20 Hz, but for the intended application xmax means very little. If you want to look at any spec, look at BL^2/Re.
