Please develop some sort of code that forces people to not be able to post without exercising basic grammar techniques. Having proper punctuation would be a must. Furthermore, I'd love to see the following filters made:

* to vs too (as in to = a direction, too = also)

* automatic filtering of their, they're, and there

* automatic censorship of the terms bro, ***, swag, and YOLO

If you could also take the time as well to take any rambling that sounds like it came from a crack-addled street-walker or was fresh off the set of Jerry Springer/Maury and immediately wipe it off the face of the planet, it would be greatly appreciated. Please consider the above my Christmas wish list.

I second that!!! If you want good grammer go on a sesame st. site, if you know what they are trying to say what difference does it make? This is a car audio site not a learning with letters site... like the sig though....

Being ignorant is cool now. Hell, you can get a great career in government or even collect a disability check for it from what I've seen. This country is so doomed... anyone with half a bit of sense has left large population centers and is stockpiling ammunition and storable food. When the EBT cards finally stop working it's going to look like a zombie apocalypse.

Being ignorant is cool now. Hell, you can get a great career in government or even collect a disability check for it from what I've seen. This country is so doomed... anyone with half a bit of sense has left large population centers and is stockpiling ammunition and storable food. When the EBT cards finally stop working it's going to look like a zombie apocalypse.

And it almost did, a few weeks ago the company that runs the networking for EBT cards (Xerox I think?) did testing on their systems and they stopped working in some states. It was chaos in some grocery stores.

The inspiration for this thread came after the tenth thread I came across today where I could literally NOT make out what the poster was trying to say. Kudos to those of you who have the fundamental communication skills to get your point across, though.

i use good grammer most of the time, but the world evolves. everything changes, people change, environments change, and language changes. you may not like that cause you are used to full punctuations. that doesnt mean people are stupid and are writing wrong. for work and school you should write good. but this is the intuationernet you can write and spell anyway you like and if your point gets across then you succeeded and maybe saved some time. win win

I prefer to think of it as de-evolution. One of the big Ivy Leagues did a study a few years back on the practicality of using "text speak" in real life and didn't give it much credit, which is probably why I want to duct-tape my wife's mouth shut when she says "B.T.dubs." I'm not saying we have to sound like we're all from the colonial British era, but for fuck's sake, at least speak like you made it through the sixth grade.

i guess i look at it different. it doesn't affect me, i can control how i talk and write but no one else. dont think it matter if people say lol, ttt, yolo, or not use vowels. i dont think you should for school, work, or presentations. but when texting or on the internet in my eyes it doesn't matter as long as you can understand people.

once again though, there are some truly dumb people.

I'm not one to be super concerned about the forums and such. When I do text off my phone, I short cut like crazy. However, I cannot stand trying to read something that is soo butchered that you can't make heads and tails of it. I usually give up.

I've started to notice that I'm less apt to help people if they can't figure out how to get across what they're trying to say or use proper grammar. They're/their/there and to/too doesn't bother me but when someone seems like they are smashing their keyboard with their head and seeing what autocorrect changes it to, that bothers me.

LOL I agree. Also, from my observation with selling stuff off from craigslist is when a person is texting you and their grammar is nasty? Or just doesnt make sense. Usually they are a hard sell and want to beat you up on price.

I just say that 'cause I type fast, but I think faster and when I'm trying to get my thought out it usually has errors, but I try to use the edit button... unlike most!!! lol

what is yolo? I use lol way too much but hey its just my pause for a smile moment!!! texting is way out of control, we are starting to become a era that doesn't use proper communication and/or interaction with our peers...

Most of the time people on craigslist with crap for grammar seem to be scammers, might just be my area though. They don't respond after I tell them cash only 4 times.

is that what it looked like last month??? EBT card has stopped working a couple times it was all over the news.... grocery stores took a hit though, everybody just walked out and left their carts thousands and thousands of dollars lost.....
