2002 Chevy Avalanche-

I bought a deck and tried to install and didnt work so i took it to the dealer and they said you have to keep the factory sys cause onstar has different plugs and integrated with your audio!

what do i do!

Man, that sucks:furious:

I haven't heard that, but it somewhat makes sense. You might try to see if there is a wiring harness that would work for your special application.

Other than that, I guess you can always try to sell it on ebay.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif Wish I had better suggestions, but maybe someone else will.

Actually, thats not true.

You will be able to still use On-Star with a new head unit but you will need to add a speaker to the onstar unit. Keep in mind that On-Star cuts the audio out of our source onc eyou push one of the buttons. If you add a speaker, you will be get the best of both. Also, try peripherial electronics.com site and also give them a call. They are very helpful and had what I was lookiing for in modifying my 02 Tahoe w/OnStar
