Deal or No Deal: Memphis Big Belle

Recently i walked into a Custom Car Sound chain and began shootin the shit with one of the employees. After talking for a while, he offered me a Memphis Belle MCH1300 for $699. I browsed the classifieds and found people selling some for ~$550-$600. So i called back, got some different guy. i told him the first dude quoted me $699, but i really wanted it for $650. he put me on hold for 5 minutes, came back and told me he could do it, but that i woulkd have to pay sales tax (5% or $32.50). Not bad. I decided to push my luck, so i walked into a different shop in the same chain, told the salesdude that guy X from the other store quoted me 650, and i asked if he could do $600. He told me to call back tomorrow and he would let me know, but he said probably.

So heres the question...Take the deal for $630.00 after tax for a brand new Memphis Belle 16-MCH1300, or look for another amp?

Im going to be running Rainbow Germanium mids and crossovers, Memphis tweets, and Kappa Perfect Subs.

I LOVE my big belle... I'll never buy another amp (unless they come out with a belle with 200x4 &2000x1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) and $630 for a NEW one w/warranty is GREAT!

To the OP, if you are buying that amp authorized, that's an insane deal, as I sell them for $700 BNIB w warranty (1 Year if non authorized install, 2 year if authorized install) .

Yeah, the amp is from a Memphis dealer, 1 year warranty. He told me as long as the chain is in business i could bring it in regardless of warranty to get it fixed if anything goes wrong.

The fronts and rears are only stable down to 2 ohms. DO NOT run those channels @ 1 ohm.

You are reading the info wrong:

RMS Power 4 Ohms Bridged Ch 1-4/Ch 5 (1 ohm Mono) 14.4V 230x2/1100x1

This power is @ 4 ohms bridged.

Two four ohm speakers (Single Voice Coil) are only going to give you a final load of 2 ohms or 8. 4 ohms bridged does not mean 1 ohm mono.

Bingo

2 Single 4 ohm Voice Coil Speakers briged will give you (If wired in parallel) a 2 ohm load (2X4 ohms bridged)

Alright, I am gone to bed, I hope the above info helps you out. The Memphis Belle is a powerhouse 5 Channel Amp.
